The Winchester Model 1892 incorporates a much-stronger Browning action that was a scaled-down version of the Model 1886. It was also a much-lighter rifle than the 1873 model. This is a .32 Calibre Winchester Model 1892 lever action saddle carbine. The rifle has a 19 ¾” round steel barrel & measures 36 ¾” overall. The breech tang is marked ‘ Winchester’. The nickel plated action has Hunting Game In The Field Scenes & foliate decoration featuring, Stag, Hare and Fox. The nickel finish has areas of rubbing. The action is also engraved ‘Winchester Model 1892’. The carbine has all original Walnut woodwork which knocks bumps and bruises to be expected with age & use. One side of the shoulder stock is inset with disc "Winchester Repeating Arms Co". The blued barrel is without fore and rear sights. There are no Winchester marks on the barrel. The gun is serial number ‘11524’ which is stamped on the action. The carbine has a steel butt plate, saddle ring and full length tube magazine.
