The Winchester Take Down Model 62A pump/ slide action .22 Long Round calibre rifle was introduced in January 1940 with an improved breech bolt mechanism. This is an excellent example. All wood and metalwork are in excellent undamaged condition with even patina throughout. It has the correct grooved fore stock slide and 16 round tube magazine. The weapon is dismantled by a turn screw on the left side of the frame. The top of the breech is crisply marked with proof/inspection marks and the barrel 'Made In New Haven Conn. U.S. Of America Winchester Trade Mark Model 62A. The weapon is number '332949'. The weapon strips, cocks and dry fires. It has chequered butt plate, an adjustable rear sight and fixed fore sight.
