~ WW1 Early Issue 1913 Pattern P13/P14 Rifle Remington Bayonet ~
These bayonets were made under contract by Remington Arms for the British during the First World War.
The blade is marked with the Remington logo on the ricasso under the fabrication date “4.17.1913”. The other side is stamped with a pair of inspection stamps and a broad arrow.
The guard is stamped with the serial number “433”.
It is complete with its original leather scabbard which is stamped with the Remington circular stamp on the locket.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade has a length of 16.7 inches (42.4 cm), the bayonet has an overall length of 21.5 inches (54.6 cm), 22.5 inches (57.2 cm) when sheathed.
~ Condition ~
The blade is in good order, free of any damage or rust. The grips are complete and undamaged. The surface layer of the leather scabbard is worn from age having some scratching and surface wear, but the scabbard preserves its good shape and structure. Its chape is nicked from usage.
