    ~ WW1 Fuse ~

Here we have Brass WW1 fuse these be enclosed within the base of the shell.

Brass fused shells were used by coast artillery (and warships) against armoured warships. This is uses revolving discs time fuse systems rather than the tubular time systems that came before.
The departure from shell caused the operation of the time pellet in the system, igniting the gunpowder line in the communication channel.

Specific devices existed to fix the disc to the set rotation before shooting, so that it did not turn during flight under the effect of the shell spin.

The maximum set-up time could be increased for long range guns in specific fuses by using a slower burning composition for the gunpowder track, or by increasing the number of discs.

There a marking of “M12aA” impressed into the fuse.

    ~ Dimensions ~

The Fuse has a diameter of 2.3 inches (6 cm) and is the height of 2.7 inches (7 cm).

    It weighs 0.98 Kg.

    ~ Condition ~

The Fuse is in a good condition with no damage and some signs of wear.

    Disk mechanism is working.
