2nd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes 'FS' Fighting Knives were introduced in 1941 (see page 89-93 of The Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife & Other Commando Knives By Flook). This is an original, WW2 2nd pattern, B2 WD, FS dagger and scabbard. The hilt is brass with 2nd pattern knurled grip and a blued steel oval cross guard. The top of one side of the cross guard is stamped with War Dept arrow & 'B2' mark. It has a clean 166mm long double edged blued blade with medial ridge. Its original scabbard has an external blackened brass chape & the belt loop has its original elastic retaining strap. As is common its original 4 sewn on leather tabs have been cut back. All leather and stitching of the scabbard are clean and intact. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2179
