The rifle comes with its deactivation certificate dated 05/11/2012.
The registered serial number for the gun is '1795'.
It has loads of proof marks, waffen stamps and serial numbers.
The serial no '1795' is stamped on the left hand side of the barrel and on the metal scope fixing frame and a single waffen stamp.
On the opposite side of the fixing frame are another
three waffen marks (WaA63).
On the right side of the barrel are another pair of waffen marks.
On the metal frame beneath the cartridge chamber, near by the trigger, can be seen two serial numbers: one near by the front screw '4267', with the proof mark on top, and '3227' a bit lower beneath the cartridge chamber itself.
The left part of the metal frame of the cartridge chamber is stamped 'Model 98'. The top part of the breech is stamped the production year '1937'.
On the top of the scope is stamped the type, serial and producers name 'Zlelvler, Nr. 5866, JENA'. The scope is accurate to 1000 meters.
The rifle comes also with a separate key to unscrew the scope.
The rifle is fitted with it's original caring leather strap stamped with serial number of '2804-02524'.
~ Dimensions ~
The overall length of the rifle is 110 cm (43.4 inches). The scope length is 27 cm (10.1 inches).
~ Condition ~
The rifle is in average used condition. The wood work has many signs of war usage but is still in one piece with bruising but no cracks.
The metal work is excellent order and the lenses are superb.
