This is a Post WW2 10 round extended magazine for the K98 German service rifle. The magazine replaces the floor plate on the rifle for the 5 round magazine is fitted from below the rifle and is held in with a integral lug and a screw. The magazine is complete with its milled steel follower which is retained by a steel wedge on a chain for transit is in near mint condition. The slot on the left hand side of the magazine is for holding the steel magazine wedge on the chain when the magazine is fitted. The 10 round magazines are unavailable elsewhere.
