An original British Webley No.1 MK IV Alloy Trench/ Signal Flare Pistol. This type of flare pistol were used by Canadian troops in WW1 & WW2. These pistols were made of alloy with smooth two piece walnut grips and lanyard ring on the butt of the grip frame. This example has a 5 ¾” alloy barrel & undamaged slab wood grips. The grips are totally secure. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2018 the pistol cocks and dry fires. The trigger guard of the pistol and barrel have matching numbers ‘1158’.
