This is an original British Volunteer’s Private Purchase Martini Henry Short Lever Rifle. It has all original woodwork. The metal work is undamaged with even patina. The barrel has proof / inspection marks & the barrel shank has BSA’s piled arms trademark. The action has tooled line decoration to the edges. There are no date or other manufacturer marks. The bore of the rifle's 30” barrel is near mint, clean & bright with crisp rifling. It measures 47 ½” overall. The rifle’s loading & firing mechanisms work crisply. It is complete with original steel cleaning rod, sling swivels & bayonet lug. It has a steel butt plate, flip up ladder sight, block & blade fore sight. The price includes UK delivery.
