U.S. Civil War Confederate Artillery Short Sword Swords

~ 1881 Dated U.S. Civil War Confederate Artillery Short Sword Sidearm ~

The grip is made from ribbed solid brass with a small rounded pommel to the end.

The crossguard has two impressed circle patterns. Both sides are serial numbered “CS1881”.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade has a length of 17.7 inches (44.9 cm), the sword measuring 23 inches (58.4 cm) overall. It weighs 790g.

~ Condition ~

The blade is black & has been fairly scratched with some chipping towards the edge. The brass is also worn from age. One of the two date stamps has faded, making it harder to read.
