Description

1930’s German Mauser, Model C/96 Broomhandle Chinese Military Contract 7.63mm Semi Automatic Pistol**UK 2002 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED**Sn 20067:2 - 20067:2

This is an excellent condition, Mauser, Broomhandle, C/96, 7.63 mm Semi Automatic Pistol. Large numbers of the C/96 in both 9mm and 7.63 mm calibre were purchased during WW1 by the Imperial German Army and many survived to serve Reichsmarine and Weimar period Police Units. The popularity of the weapon is evident in that with minor refinements this model was still being produced in the 1930's. Governments of many countries including China ordered consignments of these pistols for their military. This Chinese Government contract example has a small ring hammer and Universal safety protruding from the rear left side of the frame which indicates that was produced post 1930 (see page 59 of Guns of The Reich by Markham). The weapon has a 6" barrel & grooved wood grips which are undamaged. The weapon has fixed foresight and adjustable rear sight. The left side of the frame is stamped with the serial number 12400 & has faint Chinese Government marks. The top of the barrel shank is stamped 'Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a/N'. The right side of the frame is stamped 'Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a/Neckar DRP uRP’.The bottom of its magazine has the Mauser trademark. It is complete with military lanyard ring. Deactivated to UK specification in 2002 the weapon can be stripped and it cocks and dry fires. The price for this iconic WW2 weapon includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery**we can arrange for this firearm to be brought up to the latest UK/EU specification for UK customers (customers can purchase on our lay-away scheme. The weapon will then be brought up to EU specification and the relevant certificate obtained prior to the transfer of ownership and delivery). Sn 20067:2
