A scarce British 6 shot bar-hammer percussion pepper-box revolver with a nickel silver frame and rounded butt, circa 1840-1845. Retailed by PERKINS of SALISBURY and engraved with their name to the back-strap. The only listing that we can find to a gun-retailer in Salisbury is Thomas Perkins who worked circa 1797-1810. This could be an un-recorded piece.? Scroll engraved frame. Iron trigger guard also scroll engraved. Complete and in good working order. The calibre is approx .32.
