Little is known about the maker of these pistols C.E. Gallas London other than they worked C1750-1780 (internet resources, not in our books). The matching pistols are finely engraved throughout with foliate decoration. Both cocks are fitted with flints. One side of each pistol is marked by the manufacturer 'C.E. Gallas’ and the reverse 'London'. Both measure 5 ¾” overall & have just under 1 ½” round steel barrels. The barrel’s rifled bores have staining consistent with age. There are no visible proofs or dates on these pistols. Their cocking & firing actions work crisply. The price for this excellent pair of flintlock pistols worthy of further research regarding the maker includes UK delivery.
