The high explosive round obviously failed to detonate and the condition of this round is such that it is probably a First World War soldiers bring back trophy. The brass cartridge case is headstamped 75DLC ARS 474 1916 (1916 date) R. The high explosive projectile is stamped round the circumference FFn WD ES-ES N17214N. The projectile is fitted with a brass 24/31 model 1917 RY instantaneous percussion fuze. The projectile is fitted with a screw in steel fuze and gain adaptor. This was a superquick fuse and was used on high explosive projectiles. The price includes UK delivery and no licence is required to possess this inert ammunition in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. O 2120
