Details
Description
This is a nice M1866 Chassepot bayonet made at St. Etienne in June 1874 and marked thus to the spine of the blade. Blade length 22 ¾”. Total length including scabbard 28”. It has a curved Yataghan blade and a brass ribbed grip with a steel leaf spring and push button. The crossguard is also steel ending in a quillon and is stamped with FG60868. The scabbard is black painted steel and has L87415 stamped to the rear of the throat. See White & Watts item 194, page 84 & 92. The price includes U.K. delivery. BAYO 699
