For many centuries the Pathan tribes have resided in the volatile war torn areas of the North West Frontier and Afghanistan. The shortages of modern weaponry led to native metal workers producing their own hand made versions of Western pistols and rifles based on European and American designs utilising spare parts and locally sourced materials. This is a native made 7.65mm calibre semi-automatic pistol. The metal work has even patina throughout and has no rust. It's chequered wood grips are undamaged. The left side of the slide is stamped 'PB Fraita Cal 7.65 BFRFVF Gardon F.V.T'. The left side of the frame is stamped 'PSF' and dated '1932'. The right side of the slide is stamped 'Madfin Magarali' and the right side of the frame is numbered '5555'. It has a block and blade fore sight and notch rear sight. It has a military knurled ring hammer and is complete with original magazine. The pistol strips, cocks and dry fires. Currently the pistol strips, cocks and dry fires.
