Description

Largest selection of genuine antique weapons for sale in UK. See our website andrewbottomley.com. Ref 3110. A rare cased Pair of unusually small English flintlock Pistols by Brunn of London. Circa 1795-1819. Each pistol is engraved on the side-plate with the makers name Brunn with a stand of arms & London on the other side-plate with a stand of arms. Samuel Brunn had a workshop at 55 Charing Cross London. (1795-1819). 1.5 inch screw of barrels with London proof marks underneath. Drop down triggers and sliding top safeties. Diamond shaped escutcheons with finely chequered grips. The pistols have been fitted into a fine green baize lined wooden travelling case (9 inches x 6 inches). Brass key escutcheon fitted to the box face. The box containing an unusual small size three-way copper powder flask, Bullet mold, steel barrel key and turn screw. A Samuel Brunn replacement paper trade label inside the lid. The pistols are of extremely small size, approximately 5.5 inches in length. Nice crisp condition and strong actions to both pistols, traces of original finish to the triggers. The pistols in very good condition with minor scratches . A rare opportunity to acquire such a rare pair of Flintlock pistols made by the famous Samuel Brunn, Gun-maker to the British Royal Family. Ref 3110.
