A very scarce Webley Bentley style .44 calibre double-action percussion revolver retailed by LILL of LOUTH. Circa 1830. Engraved on the 5 inch blued octagonal barrel with the makers name Lill Louth. Michael Lill had a workshop in Upgate, Louth, Lincolnshire circa 1821-1835. Two British proof marks to the underside of the barrel. Decorative scroll engraving to the frame. Side fitted spring safety. Two piece chequered wooden grips. Overall length 11 inches. Action in good working order. Some sign of minor wear and use to the frame, the barrel & cylinder retaining much original blueing. Overall very nice tight condition.
