~ 1895 Deactivated Swedish Rolling Block Remington Rifle ~
The chamber is stamped on the right hand side 'Hazara Field Force 1895' and on the metal link between the chamber and stock with 'Presented to Surgeon Major General Sir A. F. Bradshaw ACB, From His Devoted Comrades'.
The firing pin is cut and the barrel has a hole on the top part, nearby the chamber, as part of the deactivation.

The action was extremely strong, and could easily withstand the increased pressure of the new smokeless powders coming into use by the late 1880s.
