This is a very good Victorian Royal Fusiliers Officers Pill box hat. It is 7 1/4 inches in diameter at its widest point and 2 1/4 inches high. It has a scarlet crown and body with lower blue band and blue braid crown Austrian knots and button. The hat is mounted with its original Queen Victoria Crown bullion embroidery Royal Fusiliers badge and has a thin cord chin strap. It has a tan quilted silk sweatband and crown with gilt manufacturer mark ‘A.J. White London 74 Jermyn Street St James London SW’ together with Royal appointment ‘Hatter To The Royal Family’ & heraldic arms.
