Description

~ 1897 Pattern WW2 Infantry Officers Sword, Scabbard And Belt ~

The sword has the standard proof star but no makers name on the ricasso. It comes with its brown leather field scabbard and belt. There is the King George VI cypher (reigned 1936 to 1952) on the guard so it is more than likely a WW2 piece.

~ Condition ~

The blade has some surface corrosion, the majority of which is easily wiped off. The grip and its wire binding are in sound order. The scabbard is in good order as is the belt.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword is 99 cm (39 inches) in length with a 84 cm (33 inches) blade. The belt is 107 cm (42 inches) in length.

~ Postage ~

UK postage is £25, international at cost or it can be inspected in our shop.
