This is an original BSA Breakdown Pattern .177 Calibre Air Rifle, these air rifles were made between 1932 & 1939 in .177 calibre only (see Chapter 21 page 147 of ‘The Book Of BSA Air Rifles 1905-1939’ by Milewski). It has an 18 ½” rifled barrel and measures 41 ½” overall. It has an adjustable trigger, blade foresight and adjustable dial rear sight. In front of the rear sight is the BSA pyled arms trademark. The metal work has original blue finish. The cylinder has the correct, typically faint etching ‘The BSA Air Rifle Breakdown Pattn .177 Bore The Birmingham Small Arms Co Ltd England & BSA Trademark’ (illustrated). The original undamaged wood stock has chequered BSA logo panels at the grip on both sides. The stock has a grooved butt with concealed trap. The rifle has the correct B prefix serial number ‘B6077’.
