The Sharp Innova was manufactured from 1977 until 1988. The rifle was designed and built in Tokyo, Japan, by the Sharp Rifle Manufacturing Company (which grew out of the Tokyo Rifle Laboratory founded by inventor Kensuke Chiba). While production began in Japan in 1977, they majorly flooded the UK and European markets throughout the 1980s, which became the rifle’s "golden era" for pest control and hunting. The Sharp Innova is a classic, lightweight, and highly accurate Japanese-designed multi-stroke pneumatic recoilless air rifle that gained a massive following during the late 20th century. The forearm acts as a pump lever to pressurise an onboard air reservoir before each shot. This example is in very good condition. The frame & barrel have maker, calibre and model detail (illustrated) and serial number ‘A364299’. The power of the air rifle is increased by the number of pumps and a pellet loaded into the chamber which is exposed by pressing a catch on the action which releases the bolt for loading. The bolt is then pushed back into place chambering the pellet ready for firing. It has a 20” barrel and is 35” overall length. The rifle works as it should & has all of its original blue finish & its wood work is in excellent undamaged condition with ribbed shoulder stock butt. The rifle has a blade fore sight and telescopic sight rail. The price includes UK delivery. NB As a post 1939 air weapon the restrictions of the Crime Reduction Act apply to the sale & delivery of this item. AI 602
