A Belgian single shot 7” break barrel (has been plugged, rendering the firearm decommissioned) rimfire pistol, with octagonal barrel stamped ‘modele depose’ (Registered Design in French) with numerous inspection marks and checkered walnut grips (stamped ‘170’ to the underside). Single shot pistols .22 calibre colloquially known as a 'suicide special' because they were small, cheap and therefore fairly common in the days before gun ownership was strictly regulated.
