2nd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes 'FS' Fighting Knives were introduced in 1941. This is an original near mint WW2 Officer’s 2nd pattern, FS dagger and scabbard. The dagger has a nickel plated knurled handle and cross guard. The knife is ‘sterile’ with no manufacturer or Unit marks. The knife has a 175mm long clean blade with medial ridge. Its original early pattern scabbard has a nickel plated chape and integral belt loop. The scabbard retains its 4 original sewn on tabs. Its elasticated retaining strap is present.
