A near mint condition, large brown leather holster for large frame military revolvers such as the Webley longspur or similar pistols. It has a full flap cover with retaining strap and brass stud fastener. The rear has a single belt loop. The strap is impressed with crisp ‘1885’ date and partially readable London manufacturer detail which appears to be ‘A.Rose** C&A Bermondsey’. All leather and stitching are intact. From the highest part of the open top to muzzle cap measures 10 ¼”. The open top is 6 ¼” width. The overall length with flap closed is 14 ¼”.
