They must be collected in person or transferred through a Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD). Private second-hand sales between individuals are permitted face-to-face. Air pistols must only be discharged on private land with the landowner's permission, and pellets must not leave the boundary.

On any used air pistol, inspect the barrel crown and breech seal, as these are the most common wear points.
