AK47 Soviet Type 2 Vietnam war None 0 Machine Guns

The first of the milled AK47s, an original type 2 AK, likely manufactured around 1954.

This would seem to be an early example due to it having a transitional type 1 safety selector, with the flush bottom. Also has an original early "fat boy" stock, which is solid wood and thicker than the later lamintated wood stocks.

Deactivated to new spec, selector moves, magazine is removable, partly strips, comes with certificate.

Many of these rifles made their way into Vietnam, and have attached a number of photos of type 2 AKs being used in country, all having the exact same setup as this one.

Included in the kit is loaded Chicom flatback magazine and an original chinese AK sling.
