This is an excellent original example of the American Smith’s 1873 Patent No.41 5 Shot .41 Rim Fire Obsolete Calibre Pocket Revolver. The metal work is in the white. The revolver has a 2 ¾” round steel barrel (7” overall). The barrel’s rifled bore is clean. The top of the cylinder frame is crisply marked 'Smith’s Patent Apr 16 1873 No.41’. It has a German Silver blade fore sight and grooved frame rear sight. The action is correctly single action only and works as it should. The frame barrel and cylinder have small English proof marks indicating that this pistol was made for the British market. The original American Rosewood grips are undamaged. The butt of the grip frame has serial number ’2906’. The cylinder is removed for speed loading by pulling forward the sprung cylinder spigot when the pistol is at half cock.
