Early WW2 1939 Zeitz Alpine / Mountain Troops German Heer (Army) Tornister Pony Hide & Olive Canvas Back Pack. Sn 23265:7 - 23265:7

This is an original 1938 dated German Heer Tornister (Back Pack). These packs were used by Apline / Mountain troops during WW2. The pack has alloy bars and Leather shoulder straps with buckles. The pack has leather reinforced edges. The rear top edging is dated ‘1939’ together with indistinct manufacturer name and ‘Zeitz’ maker location. The pack is made of drab olive canvas & folds open with compartments secured by studs and straps. The pack’s flap has the correct brown pony hide covering. The pack measures 12” height and is 14” wide closed. Fully open the Haversack is 28” length. The inside of the pack has indistinct period hand writing & 2 of the allot fittings are marked ‘Ritter Aluminium DRGM’. The Haversack has additional leather tabs for additional strap / equipment carry attachments. All material is clean with no damage or mothing. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 23265:7
