The 34th SS Volunteer Grenadier Division "Landstorm Nederland" (German: 34. SS-Freiwilligen Grenadier-Division "Landstorm Nederland") was a division in the Waffen-SS of Nazi Germany during World War II. It was formed by converting the SS Volunteer Brigade Landstorm Nederland into a division. It comprised volunteers of Dutch background and saw action on the Western Front. The unit fought various actions of the Eastern and Western fronts. It took part in fighting in the Netherlands, then Pomerania, and then on the Seelowe heights. The regiment took part in the Battle of Normandy, operation Market garden. Image 1 has a copy of a contemporary photograph of a 34th SS Grenadiers mortar team in the field during WW2. This an original and rare to find heavy construction trumpet / bugle banner of the 34th SS Volunteer Grenadier Division "Landstorm Nederland" . The banner made of square pieces of black cloth sewn together with plaited grey cotton tassels to 3 sides measures approx. 15 ½” x 14” with tassels splayed. One side of the banner has the superbly embroidered Shield with Wolsangel rune symbol of the 34th SS Volunteer Grenadier Division "Landstorm Nederland".
