This is an original Pattern 1910 Mills Equipment Company 10 pouch khaki webbing ammunition waist belt designed to hold 10 five round clips of 30.06 ammunition for the Springfield service rifle. The belt has 10 puckered canvas pockets each fitted with brass locking studs. The belt has steel T fastenings and is stamped on a brass belt end fitting as well as stencilling to the webbing PATENTED MILLS (bullet logo) JULY 16’09 MAY 18’15. One of the ammunition flaps has an Infantry Enlisted Mans collar disc on it stamped 43G39. The disc has the pre war clasp fitting to the rear. The belt has ink lettering LY39 to the rear.
