This is an original WW2 era Nazi Army combat helmet in as found condition. The helmet retains its original rough non-reflective black paint finish which has even field / combat wear. The helmet is - Click to reveal - size 7. The left side of the helmet features its original Army / Heer Eagle with Swastika on Shield background decal. The decal has vivid colouring and is in very good condition. It is complete with original leather liner which has service wear to be expected. It also has its original leather chin strap with buckle. The chin strap is impressed ‘RB Nr 0/0390/0204’. RB Nr stands for Reichsbetriebsnummer (Reich Business Number). This was a manufacturer coding system introduced from 1943 onward, replacing full maker names on many German military items to simplify administration and obscure production details. While no complete wartime RB registry survives, historians and collectors agree on the general structure:“0” Industry group indicator (leather/textile equipment sector),“0390” District or administrative production code“0204” Individual factory or contractor number.
