Following the 1939 invasion of Poland, thousands of Polish soldiers escaped to France to regroup. The French government equipped these newly formed units—collectively known as the Polish Army in France (1939–1940)—with standard-issue French military gear. This included the updated M26 Adrian helmet, which replaced the older, multi-piece World War I M15 Adrian model. This is an excellent original & rare to find Early WW2 French M1926 Polish Army in France (1939–1940) Steel Combat Helmet complete with its original chin strap & sweatband liner. The helmet has original chin strap bales fitted with original leather sling with buckle. The helmet is fitted with original Brass Polish army Eagle helmet badge.
