This is an original British WW1 era Greener pattern spring loaded bayonet training/fencing musket produced in the early years of WW1 from 1915. The musket has a two piece wooden stock with a steel collar at the wrist and a steel tube retaining a spring loaded round nosed fencing plunger. The fencing musket has a chequered tang to help with the soldiers grip and a sturdy iron butt plate. The musket measures 63 ½ inches overall with a compressed length of 47 inches. The musket is in good condition and is fully working.
