British WW1 Era Cavalry Hotchkiss Machine Gun Magazine Pouch.

In the First Works War, the British Cavalry were equipped with Hotchkiss Guns on the ratio of one per troop. The impact was to increase the punch of the mobile troops. A four man team with six horses was allocated the task of taking care of the Hotchkiss Gun. The gun was fed by 30 round crescent shaped magazines. This is a tan leather magazine pouch for the 30 round Hotchkiss machine gun magazine. The pouch has 2 swivelling hangers and a leather flap closure with a leather tab riveted on through a brass flat metal ring riveted on. The case is in excellent condition and the stitching is intact.
