The dial is engraved on both sides B.S. 1943 4.7 Q.F. IX** ON C .P. XXOO 50LB PROJ 4 C.R.H. FULL CHARAGE M.V. (2650 F.S. & 2600 F.S.) ON ALTENATE SIDES. There is a brass geared quadrant plate and brass warning plate which was held on by 4 screws and is stamped WARNING ELEVATION LOCKING STAY SINGLE EYE MUST BY REMOVED BEFORE ELEVATING GUN PRESERVING SCREW PROVIDED.
