WW2 1942 Dated 1907 Pattern, Australian, Lithgow, Bayonet Marked 'Australia' And Scabbard. Sn 10188
An excellent Australian, WW" 1942 example of the Pattern 1907 bayonet for the SMLE rifle complete with scabbard. The ricasso of the bayonet is stamped by the manufacturer 'MA' (Lithgow) and WD arrow. The reverse is stamped with date '4 42' (April 1942) and '1907' pattern detail. The pommel is stamped 'C 23261'. It's wood grips are undamaged and perfectly secure. One grip is boldly impressed 'Australia'. It is complete with a nice original steel mounted leather Scabbard. All stitching and Leather of the scabbard are intact.
