Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon S Over and Under 12 Bore/gauge

For sale is an exceptional 12-bore Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon S Over and Under shotgun in very good, well-cared-for condition throughout.

This is a classic, highly regarded Italian shotgun known for bulletproof mechanical reliability, perfect balance, and intuitive handling across both game shooting and clay pigeon disciplines.

Woodwork and Finish:

The shotgun features genuine, solid European walnut furniture with an oil finish. The buttstock displays striking natural fiddleback tiger-stripe figure running perpendicular to the grain, paired with a matching forend. The wood has seen very light use and remains in tidy condition with only minor, superficial handling marks, and is completely free of cracks, structural flaws, or repairs.

Action and Mechanics:

Built on Beretta's renowned low-profile nickel boxlock receiver with deep, traditional scroll engraving. The action remains exceptionally tight; the top lever sits well over to the right of centre, confirming very low cartridge counts and minimal mechanical wear. It functions flawlessly with crisp, strong selective ejectors, an automatic safety catch, and an integrated barrel selector switch.

Barrels and Choking:

The barrels feature a ventilated top rib, clean metal bluing, and spotless, mirror-bright bores with zero pitting. Factory fixed choking is set at 1/4 (lower barrel) and 1/2 (upper barrel). This fixed choke configuration makes the gun fully compliant and safe to shoot standard CIP steel shot loads under modern UK shooting guidelines, providing a versatile, future-proof field and clay package without the hassle of multichokes.

Included Accessories:

Supplied complete with its original factory blue Beretta ABS hard travel case, internal foam protection, original Beretta paperwork/warranty card, and an interchangeable spare factory recoil pad.

Handover & Terms of Sale:

Strictly face-to-face transaction to a valid UK Shotgun Certificate holder only. Certificates will be thoroughly inspected and verified prior to handling or uncasing. To protect privacy and adhere to safe practices, handover will take place by mutual arrangement at a local clay shooting ground.

Bonus: At the full asking price, I will include a full, sealed slab of 250 clay target cartridges to get the buyer started immediately.
