The Webley Typhoon was introduced in 1977 as a replacement for the Junior MK II Air Pistol. The Typhoon was available in .177 & .22 Calibres. Production of the Typhoon ceased in 1982 (see page 242 of The Collector’s Guide To Air pistols By Hiller). This is a boxed example of the Webley Typhoon .22 calibre Air Pistol. The Pistol which has an over lever action, has a strong spring and fires as it should. The body is marked with the Webley manufacture's detail and 'Typhoon' model. It has contoured black plastic target grips, adjustable rear sight (un-mounted to accommodate the telescopic sight) & blade foresight. The pistol is fitted with its removable Webley Typhoon telescopic sight adaptor and sussex armoury telescopic sight. The pistol is contained in its original brightly coloured Black White and Green coloured box with Webley Typhoon imagery, red felt covered inlaid tray and hinged lid (one edge of the lid is absent). The inside of the lid has illustrated instructions for use. The box a quantity of .22 lead pellets in a ‘Diablo’ pellet tin. The box also contains some BSA cardboard targets.
