The German Original Model 27 is a highly regarded, vintage break-barrel, spring-piston air rifle manufactured by the historic German airgun maker DIANA Mayer & Grammelspacher. The Model 27 features one of the longest production runs in airgun history, spanning from 1910 to 1987. This near mint boxed example is dated ’08 81’ (August 1981). The rifle has all original blue finish and undamaged wood. It has a 17 1’2” rifled barrel (41 ½” overall). It has a shrouded blade foresight and correct adjustable rear sight. The top of the cylinder is crisply marked 'Original Mod. 27' & ‘Made In Germany’. The barrel block has .22 Calibre detail. The top of the cylinder has the correct sight rail. The rifle cocks and fires crisply with a strong spring action. The rifle comes in its original labelled factory retail cardboard box. The box is complete but does have surface wear to be expected.
