This is a near mint Em-Ge model LP3a, made in Germany by Gerstenberger & Eberwein. (The pre-WW2 name of this company was Moritz & Gerstenberger, the brand name "Em-Ge" is the German pronunciation of the old initials "M" and "G."). These pistols were made from the mid 1950's until sometime into the late 1970's/ early 80's and had a reputation for excellent workmanship and finish. It is break action with adjustable rear target sight & blade foresight. It retains its original blue finish. It has undamaged brown plastic contoured target grips figured for right hand shooter. The pistol measures 12 ½” overall & has a 6" rifled barrel. The left side of the weapon is crisply marked by the manufacturer 'EM-GE Gerstenberger u Eberwein' together with 'Mod LP3a Made In Western Germany'. The left side of the barrel block is stamped 'Cal 5.5mm' (.22) the right side, serial number '50962'. The pistol cocks, loads and fires as it should. The pistol has its original foam box with removable lid which has embossed manufacturer information. The box has compartments to fit the pistol and its accessories which consist of its original plastic and brass ball cocking aid helpful because of the short barrel and exposed front sight, cleaning brush & screwdriver.
