This is a near mint, Late 19th Century / Early 20th Century British Mounted Infantry Short Pattern Leather Cavalry Saddle 'Bucket' Holster For Enfield, Snider & Martini Henry Carbines. It is made of quality brown hide and has re-inforced stitching, 2 steel saddle rings and buckle with leather retaining straps. The open top bucket with open muzzle end measures 8 ½” length. There are no visible manufacturer or date stamps on the bucket or strap. All leather and stitching are clean and intact and looks un-used.
