If seriously interested, I can take more photos. The rifle itself in superb condition for its age, and appears to have been an officer's private purchase item if ever used in warfare, rather than an infantry model as it lacks a standard bayonet lug and has no Government-stamped breech.

I cannot see a date on the rifle, but it would be late 1800s I imagine.
