BSA Lee Enfield SMLE Mk III – 1917 – Old Spec Deactivated
A fantastic example of a BSA-manufactured Lee Enfield dated 1917 in very good overall condition for its age. This is an original old-spec deactivation, meaning it retains full moving functionality and is far more desirable than modern-spec deacts.
Features:
* Old spec deactivation
* Bolt cycles correctly
* Will strip, cock and dry fire
* Original woodwork with good colour and character
* Magazine present
* Strong markings and nice overall patina
* Dated 1917
* BSA manufacture
These early old-spec SMLEs are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially examples that still retain full mechanical movement and have not been heavily refinished. A great piece for collectors, display, reenactment, or as an investment item given how values continue to rise.
Condition is very good overall with age-related marks as expected from a rifle over 100 years - Click to reveal - sale only in accordance with current deactivation laws. Deactivation certificate included if applicable.
You could also add at the end:
Sensibly priced due to increasing rarity of old-spec deacts.
Or if you want it sounding more premium:
An increasingly scarce collector’s piece with excellent investment potential.
