BSA Mercury MK2 .177

The BSA Mercury is a break barrel, spring powered, Air Rifle first produced in 1972 by the Birmingham Small Arms Company and then Gamo (UK) Limited. It was manufactured in .177 (4.5 mm) .22 (5.5 mm) and .25 (6.35 mm), the latter named the "635 Magnum". The Mercury was marketed between the BSA Meteor and Air Sporter models and was a light, easy to use rifle, giving a "just under legal limit UK power" of 11.5 ft/lb (15.6 J) of energy. BSA Guns England Cal .177 is printed on the barrel, and the serial No – WB 1896 (which dates the rifle between 1974 & 1978) is printed beneath the barrel. The blueing on the barrel and cylinder is in good condition. The black cap at the end of the cylinder has some use related marks. The rifle comes with a 4x20 Sussex Armoury Scope and rail mount. The rifle cocks, loads and fires with a nice tight action (4.61 ft/lbs). The stock has a nice beech stock and has the odd age related mark. The price includes UK delivery.
