This is an original BSA Breakdown Pattern .177 Calibre Air Rifle made sometime in the 1930’s (see page 30 of ‘The Collectors Guide To Air Rifles’ By Hiller). It has an 18 ½” rifled barrel which is clean and measures 41 ½” overall. It has an adjustable trigger, shrouded post foresight and adjustable dial rear sight. In front of the rear sight is the BSA pyled arms trademark. The metal work has original blue finish. The original undamaged wood stock has chequered BSA logo panels at the pistol grip on both sides. The stock has a grooved butt with concealed trap. The rifle has the correct B prefix serial number ‘B1957’ and ‘B’ factory inspection mark. There are no cylinder markings on this air rifle.
