C1900 French Army Medical Officer’s Sword By VPB With Brass Hilt Stylised Monogram & With Medical Victory Laurel & Entwined Snake Device. ED 2502 - ED 2502

This is an excellent example of a French army medical officer’s sword C1900.The brass hilt has one fixed guard with Medical Victory Laurel & Entwined Snake Device & a folding guard with engraved initials of a previous owner (DG or GD). The folding guard is released by depression of a steel button on the cross guard. The grip has perfect wire binding & the clean 32” double fullered blade has a small oval cartouche ‘VPB (most likely a maker’s or retailer mark). The scabbard is steel with one hanging ring & is undamaged. The price for this elegant sword includes UK delivery. ED 2502
