This is a leather saddle bucket made for holding a Springfield service rifle to the McClellan saddle, the standard American saddle used by the American cavalry throughout WW1. The bucket is in excellent condition and measures 33 inches long with a mouth width of 7 ½ inches. The saddle bucket for the McClellan saddle, the standard American saddle used by the American cavalry in WW1 and is nicely stamped at the mouth B.BROS (Boot Brothers) 1918 (manufacturing date) and ARS. The bucket is made of high quality tan leather and has a two pairs of leather hangers brackets to hold the two adjuster leather suspension straps to the saddle.
