ORIGINAL**WW2 Era Nazi German ‘Air Protection Approved’ Hitler Youth (HJ) Decal Civil Defence M34 Gladiator Combat Helmet With Label & Rim Stamped 'RL-2-38/28', Liner & Chin Strap. Sn 23290 - 23290

During World War II, the Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend or HJ) became heavily involved in civil defence activities, particularly as the war progressed and Allied bombing intensified on the German home front. As adult manpower was drafted into the armed forces, HJ members, including boys as young as 14 or 15, were increasingly utilized to maintain essential services and support air raid precautions. This is an excellent, original Nazi German Hitler Youth (HJ) Decal Civil Defence M34 Gladiator Combat Helmet. The helmet has no dents & retains its original blue paint finish. The inner skirt of the helmet has printed letter transfer (illustrated, German text translates to ‘Distribution approved according To Air Protection Law Head size: 56 ‘UK size 6 7/8’) & is stamped 'RL-2-38/28' (most likely a production / batch number). The helmet features a nice original HJ decal. The decal has excellent colouring. The helmet is complete with original leather chin strap with buckle & leather liner. The liner is ink stamped with indistinct maker name cartouche (illustrated). The price includes UK delivery. Sn 23290
